Porsche Cayenne Manila Launch

Porsche Philippines recently revealed the third-generation Porsche Cayenne to members of the media in an exclusive preview.

“A globally successful model, the Cayenne is the epitome of a Sport Utility Vehicle with the power and character of a sports car. This third-generation Cayenne further elevates the Porsche experience with its new turbocharged engines, three-chamber air suspension, and innovative digital cockpit display,” says Roberto Coyiuto III, Porsche Philippines Chief Executive Officer.

The completely redeveloped Cayenne is even closer to its roots as a Porsche sports car than its predecessor, boasting intelligent lightweight construction, powerful engines, exceptional driving dynamics and smart driver assistance systems. All of these, combined with outstanding handling on any terrain, improved comfort and greater suitability for everyday use, result in superior performance and technology.

Built to render backseat drivers speechless.

Sporty and precise with a clear design – new and yet familiar: The appearance of the Cayenne has been enhanced in the style that runs through the Porsche Design DNA. The enlarged air intakes at the front are clear indicators of the increased performance. The new horizontal light edges mean that the SUV now appears wider and more athletic, even when stationary.

The luggage compartment volume is now 770 litres – an increase of 100 litres. The wheels are one inch larger in diameter, with wider tyres on the rear axle for the first time, emphasising the enhanced driving dynamics. The distinctive, three-dimensional Porsche logo spans the redesigned rear lights with three-dimensional light design and end-to-end narrow strip of LEDs.

Park your inhibitions.

The third generation Cayenne also offers a significantly increased performance range due to the new eight-speed Tiptronic S gearbox. The new Cayenne also combines three chassis concepts in one new design: sports car, off-roader and touring car. Even on rough terrain, the Cayenne provides straightforward driving pleasure. Programmed off-road modes make it easy for the driver to select the right setup for their drive.

The default setting is the Onroad programme. Four other modes activate the conditioning for mild off-road terrain: Mud, Gravel, Sand or Rocks. For the first time, the Cayenne is available with electric rear-axle steering. The system, tried and tested both in the 911 and the Panamera, improves agility on bends and stability when changing lanes at high speeds. The reduced turning circle also makes everyday handling of the SUV easier.

A family sports car, from a family of sports cars.

The Porsche Advanced Cockpit is fully integrated into the sporty, luxurious atmosphere of the new Cayenne. At the heart of the new display and control concept from Porsche is the 12.3-inch full-HD touchscreen from the latest generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM). A range of digital functions can be operated intuitively – including voice control.

Other buttons are harmoniously integrated into the smartphone-like, glass-look touch surface, giving acoustic and haptic feedback when operated. In typical Porsche style, the driver has a central analogue tachometer to view. This is flanked by two 7-inch full-HD displays, which feature all other relevant driving data and additional information selected using the multi-function steering wheel.

The new Porsche SUV is launching in three variants. With its 550 hp biturbo eight-cylinder engine and the driving dynamics of a sports car, the Cayenne Turbo is heading up the new Cayenne generation. In figures: the car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (or 3.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package), and achieves a top speed of 286 km/h. The Cayenne S is powered by a 2.9-litre, 440 hp biturbo-charged V6 engine. From a standing start, the Cayenne S reaches 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. With the optional Sport Chrono Package, this is reduced to 4.9 seconds. The maximum speed is 265 km/h.

The Cayenne with a six-cylinder turbo engine and a displacement of three litres delivers 340 hp of power. It accelerates to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds, or just 5.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package, and achieves a top speed of 245 km/h. More powerful, more dynamic, and more efficient - the new Cayenne makes the Porsche experience even more fascinating and diverse with its versatility, quality, and cutting-edge technology. By bringing sportiness into everyday life, this Porsche SUV remains what it always was: a real sports car. The new Cayenne is now available for pre-order.
